Today’s editorial was not written due to a technical failure and is not being published.

This newspaper writes its editorial last, once the edition is finalized and every other piece has already been verified. Today the three requests to the system that writes it failed before any text existed: a technical error in the system that writes it. This is not an editorial choice nor a flaw in the text, which was never produced.

A notice stating the true cause is worth more than an editorial hastily written to cover the gap. Today’s other pieces are not affected: they were written and verified before the failure.
